EMPRESS™ is a series of active RFID readers and transponders, enabled by Nordic Semiconductor, nRF51822 series, a Low Power 2.4GHz transmitter and receiver solution; it supports BTLE (BT4.0 or above, Bluetooth Smart), and 2.4GHz proporietory protocol. 

 

The lastest version - Empress EM02 Series Readers are single external antenna, networked receiver for indoor IoT (internal of things), Clouded Beacon Bridging, BTLE gateway, or Sensor data gathering applications; FCC and CE certificates are acquired via TUV. (FCC ID: XNO-HKRAR-EM02)

 

Empress EM02 reader also has internal adaptor slot ready for Embedded Linux Module Plug-n-play, such as Raspberry Pi Compute Module as option, ideal for opensource projects and IoT gateway applications.
