Xapphire^(TM) is nominated for the final stage of Hong Kong ICT Best Business Award 2007

Hong Kong has long been recognized as the leading centre for the jewellery production, distribution and trading. To sustain the success, Jewellery Management System, Xapphire is introduced to Jewellery exporters in Hong Kong who are looking for ways to enhance their winning business processes. Xapphire TM is an innovative and successful application making use of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) to solve various management problems encountered by jewelery industries. In Nov 2007, the system has been nominated into the final round of Hong Kong ICT Best Business Award organized by Hong Kong Computer Society.

The Hong Kong ICT Awards were established in 2006 as a collaborative effort among industry support organizations, ICT professional bodies, academia and the Government to build a large scale and internationally recognized branding of ICT awards of Hong Kong.

The Awards aim to recognize, promote and commend the excellent achievements to which Hong Kong ICT professionals and organizations contribute. The Awards also encourage local practitioners to develop innovative and creative ICT solutions, which will uplift the image of Hong Kong ICT sectors, both locally and internationally.

With the effort from six local industry-related organizations, the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2006 had drawn over 300 entries for the seven award categories; and successfully increased the awareness amongst the industry and the public.

The Hong Kong ICT Awards 2007 is supported by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The Government Chief Information Officer is Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Awards. The Awards comprise seven award categories, including Best Business, Best Digital Entertainment, Best Digital Inclusion, Best Innovation & Research, Best Lifestyle, Best Public Service Application, and Best Ubiquitous Networking. Each award category is led by an industry-related organization.

This award is the honor of our RFID technology in jewellery industry. It is foreseen that Xapphire would have a very bright future. We will put a step forward to expand the market and develop a more advanced system.
