Co-organizing the Student Workshop of 2007 IEEE International Conference on e-Business Engineering
e-Business has been the hottest issue in
the recent years. It provides the business world with
tremendous amount of opportunities as well as challenges. A
lot of these challenges are in the aspect of engineering.
The Student Workshop of 2007 IEEE International Conference
on e-Business Engineering held from the 24th -28th October,
2007 is a chance for scholars and members from the business
field to identify and look for solutions to challenges in
both engineering and e-business.
Since 1998, the IEEE Technical Committee
on E-Commerce has organized a series of conferences and
workshops each year. The Student workshop is one of the
highlights in the series.
This year, our company is much honored to
co-organize this event along with the Department of Computer
Science of The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist
University, The Hong Kong University of Science and
Technology, Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks, and IEEE
Computer Society Technical Committee on Electronic Commerce.
The organizers of the workshop have raised
4 real e-Business related scenarios for research students.
All students taking full time research degrees can
participate in the workshop. They are required to submit
their proposed solution for either one of the scenarios or
other real cases that students come across. All submissions
will be reviewed by the panel of judges from both the
academic and engineering field with the evaluation criteria
of problem understanding, originality and feasibility of the
proposed ideas or solutions.
Co-organizing this event is a great
opportunity for our company to get in touch with scholars
and people from the same line of work; and share experience
and ideas in the aspect of e-Business. We look forward to
the event and wish the workshop a great success.
