The First Workshop about RFID-enabled Jewellery Industry Solutions is Successfully Held

Hong Kong's first public seminar and demonstration on Total RFID-enabled Solutions for Jewellery Industry was held jointly by Hong Kong RFID and Hong Kong Science Park on 10 January 2007. During the seminar, Evertech Digital was invited to show a Live Demonstration of their ERP system for jewellery industry which integrated by our RFID equipments. Many major jewelers from Hong Kong Jewellery industries attended the function. They are interested in how to make use of the advanced RFID technology to apply into Jewellery management.

Hang Fung Gold Technology Group which is one of the first-three local gold making companies also sent representatives to the seminar to seek out the details of RFID. After the seminar, Steven Wong, the I.T. Manager for Hang Fung Gold Technology Group said," we decide to apply the RFID systems provided by Hong Kong RFID Limited, to involve in the existing jewellery management system gradually in 2007."

Trendily, the local Jewellery industry is now filled with the concerns of the exploration of RFID application to Jewellery. The Live Show of demonstration indicated the direction and procedures to jewelers. Apart from the purpose of stocktaking, RFID can also be applied to daily business operations, such as issuing invoice and quotation reliably. Visitors are satisfied as their enquiries on RFID are all solved in the Question and Answer session. As a result RFID is no longer a difficult and abstract technology in the minds of local businessmen.
